Acorn Hollow Denver trip to the Colorado History Museum
Saturday February16th 2009 we explored the Colorado History Museum. I am taking a Colorado History class and for an assignment I am required to go to the museum and write a paper about it. When I pulled up the website to find out the times I also found they have a free weekend event for children called “Lets make history” from 11 am to 3 pm every Saturday.
Acorn Hollow North Georgia – Maiden Voyage
We had our first Acorn Hollow N. Ga activity this January. To tie in with Charming of the Plough we went to Storm Mtn outside of Cherokee NC where the Davies’ Farm is located. It is a complete protected non operational farmstead (the buildings, etc are real not replicas and the site is the actual home site) from the 1800s.
AH London Report
We held our second family AH activity yesterday. The theme of the day was Thor’s Hammer.

Last week, Acorn Hollow Denver held it August meeting once again at Derek and Dixie’s house. Since this month we were celebrating Festival of the Mind – Discovery of the Runes, it was only fitting that we start the children off with a foundation for their runic journey.
